A Siblingship DNA Test is used to determine if two people share 1 or 2 biological parents. This test shows the probability of siblingship between two people. In a full- versus half-sibling test, the DNA of two people with the same biological mother is compared to determine how likely they have the same alleged father. It is recommend that the biological mother of the alleged siblings also provide a test sample. This will help to determine which genes came from the mother and which genes came from the father. Providing the mother's sample assists in providing conclusive results. This type of testing can also compare DNA from two people with different mothers to find out if they have the same father.
